Lucas + Victoria
Victoria and Lucas’ wedding journey was one I feel so lucky to have been a part of—from their engagement session, to their courthouse ceremony, to their absolutely STUNNING wedding at Green Gable Farms. Destination/Travel Wedding in San Diego area (San Marcos, CA)🤍
It was especially meaningful because Victoria is not only a close friend, but someone I had the honor of standing beside as a bridesmaid. Getting to experience all of these moments with her while also capturing pieces of their story made this wedding season extra special.
Their Engagement Session
Before the wedding day, I got to spend some time with Victoria and Lucas for their engagement session. Engagement sessions are always one of my favorite parts of the wedding experience because there is something so fun about getting to document a couple before they officially become husband and wife.
It was a chance to capture their relationship as it is—the laughs, the little moments, and the way they naturally interact with each other. Looking back at those photos now makes the wedding day feel even more special because you get to see the beginning of the story before everything unfolds.
The Courthouse
When Victoria and Lucas headed to the courthouse, I was honored to be there to document that part of their story, too.
There is something so beautiful about the moments that happen before the big celebration. The signatures, the anticipation, and those first few moments of officially becoming husband and wife. It may be a quieter part of the wedding experience, but it is such an important one.
We captured the moments that made their marriage official, along with some portraits and candid moments afterward. It was intimate, simple, and incredibly meaningful.
Green Gable Farms
And then came the big celebration at Green Gable Farms—and WOW.
Their wedding was STUNNING. The venue, the details, the florals, the atmosphere... everything came together so beautifully. It was the perfect setting for their celebration, and I swear I could have photographed every little corner of it.
Being there as a bridesmaid meant I got to experience the day in a completely different way. I was there for the getting ready, the nerves, the excitement, the happy tears, and all of the little moments that happen behind the scenes.
But I was also incredibly thankful that I could step into my Photos by SVL role throughout the day.
During cocktail hour, I was able to grab some content and sneak away to snag a few photos of Victoria and Lucas, too. Getting to wear both hats—bridesmaid AND content creator/photographer—was such a fun experience.
There is something extra special about documenting a wedding when you genuinely love and care about the people in front of your camera. I wasn't just there to capture their wedding day. I was there to celebrate one of my closest friends marrying her person.
From their engagement session, to making it official at the courthouse, to celebrating with everyone they love at Green Gable Farms, I feel so lucky to have been there for so many chapters of their story.
The beginning of your marriage deserves to be remembered beautifully, too. 🤍
